I have a built in Zanussi Single Fan Oven which is rated at around 2 KW max power. So at 240V this should pull under 10A (P=I*V)
It says in the booklet you can use a socket and 13A fuse, with 2.5mm wire.
So I've bought some 2.5mm twin and earth cable which I was going to wire into a standard plug and connect to a standard wall socket with a 13A fuse.
My kitchen hasn't been wired specially and doesn't have a cooker plate with red switch.
Is this safe and corect - and is it right to use the twin/earth cable?
I have a gas hob so I'm not pulling any more power than this.
Thanks,
Jules
