Sink and loo regs

I am rejigging by kitchen around and so the bathroom is going upstairs. I will still have a downstairs loo, but want to know about the sink in the little room off the kitchen.

Do i still need this sink or can i just do away with it. We will have the kitchen sink there obviously. This wall space will be much better served by a rad you see.

Not too sure of the regs nowadays, But you used to have to have two doors between the kitchen and the loo and the basin was required.

Surely if only from a hygiene perspective you still need a basin in the downstairs loo?

Regs state there must be a hand washing facility in the room or an adjacent room, provided the adjacent room is not used for food preparation. You will need to keep the sink to comply with regs.

But I gather only one door is needed now!

I have heard that some plumbers don't even wash their hands after the loo.
