Sink waste fitting problems

I had to remove parts of my sink waste pipes to remove fatbergs... Now I'm trying to put it back and I can't work out how it was clearly bodged before to not leak...
This is what I'm working with:

There's no space on the trap side of the pipework to put a ring on - it's just the screw thread at the end.

Can anybody give me some suggestions to:
1) Quite frankly bodge a seal anyway possible that will at least last for a bit as I'm desperate for time.
2) Point me at a suitable kit that can be used for my setup (double sink, double appliances).

Cheers for that, I'm giving ptfe a go - thicker than usual and overhanging the bottom of the screw to hopefully seal as it screws in.
Unfortunately the back pipe goes direct through the wall at that height. Without drilling through bricks, I can't do anything about that :(
