I was at a job last week where the supply fuses were

Bush Asta Cert
BS88
100 MJ30

I assumed the fused to be 100A, what does the MJ30 mean?

I imagine its something to do with the characteristic, BS 88 come in a lot of different tags and physical sizes such as NIT, SS, TIA as well as different breaking capacities.

but I would be correct to assume 100A, this feeds a 200A isolator  the supply fuse will go before the isolator!

I didnt pay that much attention to be honest I'll try and get another look just need to do a shut down

It relates to the centres of the lugs. In old "money" 3inch, 3 1/4 inch and 3 5/8 inch.

It truly is frightening what's been written in the two posts on this site when you actually sit and think about it for a little while.
