I have a paste-the-wall wallpaper. A lot of the instructions and videos I've watched do not say anything about sizing the wall first before pasting the wall. The question is do I need to size the wall and if so what's the procedure? What do I use to size the wall? I only have the paste at the moment

I rub down the plaster having filled any gaps or cracks, and water down the paste. leaving to dry overnight

I currently have wallpaper on there which I need to remove then I will rub down. So should I just apply the same paste the wall adhesive but watered down version all over the wall and let it dry overnight? how watered down?

If it’s already been papered, I don’t think you need to size it. Only bare, new plaster needs sizing. Well, that’s what I’ve always been told.

Oh that's good to hear. Even though I've removed the paper with a steamer it still doesnt need sizing?
