Hi guys

This is my first post so go easy on me :D

Can someone tell me, do you put skirting boards flat to the floor and run the new carpet upto them or leave a gap so the carpet goes under? I'm looking to replace my skirting first and then get a carpet fitter in, so i don't want to do it wrong ;)

Cheers

heeelllooo and welcome add  ;)

always skirting first
unless your doing a floating floor [laminate] which saves you having quadrant to finnish

over the years as fashions change and you have a gap its another job to do fill the gap or lower the skirting when you pollish the newly exposed floor boards ;)

Ah this is where my confusion has come from then

Thanks big-all, guess i'd better get on and do it now :D
