skirting in kitchen

am having new kitchen fitted next week (at last!), is it best to get skirting board fitted first (i know u will use more) or afterwards?

Do you mean behind the units? If you do then you are making work for yourself as you will have to trim the backs of the units to fit around the skirting, plus the expense of fitting the skirting.

fit them after, they can go up flush to the kickboards
