Skirting outside corners - how to fill big gap

Would I use decorators caulk to fill this nasty corner and paint over? It's not 90 degrees. How can I best hide it? I only have a jigsaw.

Looks like the bit on the right should push back closer to the wall? Might need a tad sanded off the rear of the left mitre.

Ah nothing is glued down yet. I saw some ppl suggest using adhesive foam is ok?
I might have to adjust the jigsaw to an in between angle and recut one side
