have sky plus when it is connected to the phone socket it seems to dial and operater says cannot connect try again.first noticed it today when i came home phone sounded like it was connected to a fax, unpluged all phones computer and sky ,all ok till sky reconnected,tried standard phone into plug sky uses ,all ok . any ideas ?

possibly a software problem on the interactive section of the sky box. If you have tried the obvious ie disconnect from the mains for at least half an hour allowing for any capacitive charge in the box then it may be worthwhile phoning sky technical. They may be able to download you a software fix if it is a known fault.
