sky plus not recording

sky plus will record programs that are allready programmed in but will not record any new additions,light blinks on the box when the record button is pressed but no recording takes place,everything else works live pause etc,and as i stated programmes that have been on series link all record,any advice ?

Make and model number on the label?
Try a reboot.
Try a Planner Rebuild.
Try erasing the Hard Drive.

How much space is left on the hard drive ?
Try deleting a couple programmes and see then if ou can record a new one.

^ if the box can record programmes already on a series link in the planner then it's not disc space issue. It sounds more like a firmware corruption.

Good point, Chris. The Planner Update should fix it but, if not, try forcing a firmware download. Instructions for this are posted all over the Internet.

Answer might vary according to make and model (already requested).
I suspect we're wasting our time with a "fly-by poster", but someone else might benefit!

No, only the "full reset" will erase the programmes.

Thanks for the feedback. That's the usual cure but it's always worth trying a reboot first.
