Hi All
I plan to lat a concrete slab about 2.25m square for a grill area with worktops on 3 sides. It will have a timber frame on top, and clad in stone.

Will a 100mm slab with a slightly thicker (150 mm) edge do the job? I have some mesh on site to go in. Will I need compacted hardcore for this job; or will just stripping the soil do? The subsoil is stable.

Thanks.

PS, how long after laying can work start?
