I have as a small lean to that I have removed the glazing from, and will be replacing with slates It's only about 3 sq m and I am inlcuding a small velux (780 x 550). What size slates would you choose for this?
Main dwelling has 600 x 300 slates and also tiles. You cannot see the main dwelling slates only the tiles above. Pitch isn't an issue. I was thinking you should use smaller slates (e.g. 250 x 500) for a smaller roof, given the choice, but perhaps not?
I was thinking from not only a continuity point of view but also from a practical aspect.
Having all the same tiles presents a more appealing maintenance prospect.
