Can you paint the airing cupboard slatted shelves or are they best left as plain wood?

Normally left unpainted cos nobody sees them but, once thy have dried out, nothing to stop you painting if you really want a different colour.

Quick rub down and two coats of satin water based varnish and you can put your undies back on in about 20 minutes LOL

I have never painted them...but as rob says a couple of coats wont hurt..or even just the one..but make sure you rub it down after as there might be a few rough ibts that you might snag your kaks on
