I finally got my system installed, in the end I went for a bosch easycontrol as it has the ability to modulate our boiler.
Was a bit of a nightmare to install as I had to run a cable from the boiler to the hall for the controller. I've got smart trvs on all the rads and they are all set on their own programmes.
So far it's a bit odd. The nest was only ever on or off and when it was on it was full blast. Now the system is frequently only heating up to 40 degrees and the house temperature is more even.
My wife isn't sold as she quite likes the feeling of heat blasting off the radiators. She's also been hanging washing off radiators that aren't turning on and is grumpy about that too.
