Hi, I am looking to upgrade my wireless thermostat to one of the modern 'smart' thermostats so that I have more control over the heating. I have been looking at various makes and they all seem to have good points and bad points. I have looked at Nest, Salus IT500, Hive and Tado.

Has anyone got any advice of which is the best one ?

Oh I have got a potterton combi boiler if it makes a difference :)

Don't know anything about Tado, as for the other three - Salus kit is generally considered to be a bit unreliable, and I've removed a couple of Hive controllers for people who couldn't get on with them. They are very happy with their Nests

Another one to look at is Honeywell Evohome, but it's pricey....
