I have a Smeg Oven with a sticky oven door (micro) switch. When closing the door the oven still thinks the door is open and the power to the heating element remains off
I have to repeatedly open and close the door (a few Centimetres) to get the switch to engage so the oven element will come on.
Problem is I can not locate where the switch is located. There is no obvious lever or switch. There is a ‘self cleaning latch’ that locks the door for the cleaning process but I don’t think that’s related to the oven door open/closed switch.
Would it be a magnetic switch?
When opening and closing the door I can hear a ‘click’ though not able to locate the switch.
Done the usual googling and Espares etc sell switches but no clues to where it’s located. Also can’t find any service manuals that might help. (The oven manual is useless).
Any helpful pointers on where the switch is located, and how I get into the oven to find and hopefully replace the switch ?? Thanks.
