Hi,
I have an AEG Micromat KB9810E electric oven/microwave. It has stopped working and the internal light remains on. Ther is obviosly a micro switch of some sort which swiches off the light when the door is closed and also allows the oven to work. i suspect the switch is faulty and is stuck in one positio. Can anyone please tell me where it is and how to get at it.
Thanks in advance

There are 3 or four micro switches on the door interlock which control the microwave circuits. To get to them you have to take off the cover for the microwave.

I do not recommend DIY repairs on microwaves due to extremely high voltages inside and the risk of radiation if not put together correctly and tested for radiation leaks.

Microwave not working could be

Door interlocks
Fuse
Transformer
HV Diode
Magnetron
Thermal Fuses
Electronics
HV Capacitors
