I’ve had a smeg hob in the box for a long time, p705 it’s all fitted and I will call a gas safe to connect it. Will the guy normally cave the connector on the van/with him (I’m saying is it standard ? The reason is the hob has a male stub coming out of it and the manual says it needs “1/2 Female Parallel And Conical Thread” and lists this

Why I ask it’s about £18! Why? Is it special ? There is a washer that goes with it. I don’t what someone to have to come out twice. Regards

Standard 1/2" female fitting should fit. The GSR eng should have the fitting or should easily be able to acquire it.

Thank you… the cost just made me think it was something special…

Comes with a rubber washer… will the fitter even need the connector, or will he/she just connect directly to the angle.

Normal 1/2" BSP fitting by the looks of it, normal connection would be made, leave it to your GSR chap.

That’s what I was planning to do (leave it ) the price just threw me (£18.99) thanks
