This view is under the sink in my utility room – there’s a bad smell coming from in there somewhere. I removed the kick plate at the bottom of the unit, and all is bone dry underneath.
I assume the odour is coming from the vertical pipe the washing machine outlet hose drains into, for no better reason than that it’s the only thing which is open, for a smell to get out…
Ideally I’d like to take it all apart and clean it out with a long brush, but I’m not sure how that sort of pipework is joined together… looking at it, is it push-fit/rubber washer stuff, or is it bonded together do you think, as I found in a previous house? If the latter, I assume there’s not a lot I can do…
Thanks
