Ive got an old smoke alarm whuch i want to wire into my 9952 scantronic panel.
The detector is mains powered and also has normally closed contacts.
I connected it up as a zone into my panel and set the zone as fire. Tried to exit installer mode and came up with tamper fault. Put 2k1 resistor in line to make it eol (as my panel is set to).
Came out of installer mode ok, then i tested it, and alarm went off but both contact and tamper fault came up on the panel.
Put 4k7 resister over the contacts as fsl, and retested... No alarm sounded even though the sensor showed it was activated.
Removed the 4k7 for now but how should you wire the detector up?
