Smoke alarms

Please could someone give me some advice/information on fitting and hardwiring two smoke detectors together. ie what sort of alarms do I need. What rating do I need to wire it to, and cable needed to connect them. Thanks for reply's in advance

they need to be of the interlinkable type to start with and you will need to run 3 core cable between the two ,you can wire them into the lighting circuit providing they have battery back up

i disagree totaly.

it depends on what make they are. I fitted some (battery operated) that can be connected with 2 core bell wire
