Hi folks,

We have a 2 story house. The kitchen is on the ground floor, a smoke alarm is through an always open doorway in the hall. There is also another smoke alarm at the top of the stairs.

The downstairs one is about 18 months old and seems to have got more sensitive to slight smoke from cooking. It's seems to go off more, but it could be coincidence.

Anyway I put a brand new battery and it still went off a few times a week.

It was a recommended brand, Kidde I think.

So, do I by a heat alarm instead and put it there, or assume that's a faulty or over-sensitive alarm and buy a new Smoke alarm.

I no longer have the recept.

Any tips?

Cheers
