smooth action - qtr turn taps

these quarter turn taps with the sliding discs....

how do i make them have a smooth action again ?

One of the original selling features of these tapes was the surfaces slide on each other & do not wear & are always had a smooth action..
Time tells us different

THey sometimes get bit s of grit stuck in between the discs. Dismantle, clean, lubricate with silicone grease
