snickers measuring tape

today i bought myself one of the new snickers measuring tapes made by fisco i think. wots doing my head in is how the hell you can seperate the tape from the securing clip part that clips onto your clothing ? i've pulled ,pushed, twisted and lifted to no use ! its drivin me nuts ! you must be able to do it as it shows a emblem on the reverse with an arrow next to it. i aint daft but this is getting on my nerves already ! anyone help and put me out of misery ?

I seem to think if you had it on your belt, you press the top centre of the clip part towards your body and the tape should slide up.
