Socket of a spur

If I run a new 13amp socket as a spur from an existing socket am I able to plug a 4 gang extension into this socket to run TV,Computer etc without any issues?. The reason I ask this question is because I know you are only allowed to run one socket of a spur.

Yes you can plug an extension lead into a socket and run appliances from that even if the socket is a spur. The reason being is the extension lead is protected by a 13A fuse so you can't overload the spur.

You are also correct in saying you can only add 1 socket from a spur, but if you add an FCU before the socket you can add as many sockets as you like. This limits the total power usage to 13A though, but so does using an extension lead...
