Following some lax dot and dab plasterwork by Dodgy Brothers of Essex, I need to either fill the large gaps around my two gang sockets (lots of fiddly work) or put some kind of surround around the socket similar to a light switch fingerplate. I've searched the internet to no avail but I'm not sure if I'm searching for the right thing. Does anyone know of such a 'socket surround'?

The light switch ones will fit single gang sockets, as for the doubles, I do not know what you could do there

I'd personally suggest you get the builders back and have them fix their bodged work ;)

I'm not aware of a 2G 'fingerplate'

You can get some wooden socket surrounds, but they arn't very big, and they don't particually nice.

The easiest option is to expanding foam the gap up, then when the foam has cured cut it flat with the wall, and filler over the top of the foam.

I ditto the foam and filler. It's quick and very good for even the biggest of gaps.
