I’m fitting acoustic wall panels and the wall has a socket and switch. I’d like to mount these on the surface of the panels. This will hide the cut edges of the panels and make the job look neater. They are currently in a metal box sunk in the wall.

Can you please suggest how this can be achieved. Thanks in advance.

The cable terminations behind the socket must be in an enclosure. Obviously you would need to sink a suitable back box into your acoustic panels and mount the socket to the box in the normal way.
