Soffit mesh vent replacement

My house built in 1971 has plywood soffit and it is vented all around the perimiter with mesh. Some areas of the mesh are in need of replacement, but I would like to replace all of it, hopefully with something that fits snug and still provides good ventilation. What produ t out there would work best for this project that provides a decent look but more importantly keeps bugs and animals out.

Sorry, forgot to mention that the gap from wall to soffit is about 5.25 inches.
