Hi I have a bungalow that I can fit flat spotlight downlights into which I see a lot of houses have done.

Question1: Can I get those as PIR? as when away from home want all lights around house to be sensor PIR, if not possible I can use up down light on wall.
Example can use these as can leave on or PIR mode but would mean cable showing on wall as oppose to soffit where I can hide cable inside soffit.

Question2: Can I use 1mm cable to loop through these lights from junction box or is 1.5mm more appropriate? I have a reel of 1mm ready to go.

OR should I add another switch altogether and keep PIR and on/off sperate feeds? and be done with it.

Thanks any help apprecaited!

If you are running it on a 6amp circuit, then 1mm is fine. You can use a separate PIR to control the lights. Some older PIRs can be a bit funny about controlling low wattage LEDs.

personally I’d go light switch, PIR lights so you can switch it off completely when you want. Noting that a light switch is not sufficient for isolation purpose.

I am looking at these but not paying £30 a light this is crazy, I can get internal packs for £40 and as the lights are under soffit and away from rain...can I just get internal...

Too much need 10
