Soft close toilet seat - different fixing

We had a new bathroom suite. The toilet, which is close coupled does not have the normal hinges. It has soft rubber bungs which drop into what would be the hinge holes in the top of the toilet and then you tighten a screw which pulls the bungs up and makes them bulge, which holds the seat in position. I'd like to fit a soft close seat but do not know what this type of connection is called so can't do internet searches for them. BTW you cant fit normal toilet hinges because theres no way of getting at them to tighten them up...
