my dads toilet seat ring keeps shutting the cistern is old and seams to be too far forward thus keeps shutting ,its quite dangers with the grandkids i told him a Soft Close Toilet Seat would be better but the toilet is grey and i dont think you get them in colours or can you get special hinges to move the seat forward ? thanks for any help

you can buy "dog leg hinges" which will push the seat forward so when it is upright there will be enough of an angle for the seat to sit against the cistern
