Thanks for the reply. Problem is, it’s not a rectangular seat. It’s narrower at the hinge end than the front. Naturally, the toilet bowl is the same shape. Have tried looking for a seat without success. Might have to be a new bowl and seat. Seems a bit ott for the sake of a pair of hinges.
One thing I suggest to clients who buy their own stuff. When buying a toilet with a soft close, always buy a spare toilet seat, they will almost always fail and they can be a bugger trying to match a properly shaped replacement.
