I am having a new bathroom fitted and the plumber has removed the soil stack that previously went up through the roof of the house. The pipe now finishes at just above floor level in the bathroom and the bath waste goes into the top of it. I had asked for all waste pipes to be below floor level and the stack to go through the ball and up the side of the house. I am now concerned that there is now no air venting in or out of the pipe. There is a trap in the waste pipe coming from the bath. Can anyone please advise, job is ongoing, thanks.

What you asked for is reasonable and easily do-able by a proper plumber  Though strictly speaking you should notify Build. Control. . I always go for open vent over AAV if possible
