I'm planning to install a bathroom above a detached garage and the regs state that I can use an AAV and vent from the main stack in the house (up to 5 properties can be vented by 1 stack).
Rather than an internal stack under the floor I want to have the AAV inside the bathroom (higher than the lowest waste in the bathroom - the sink) and have the waste exit into something like that in the photo. I see that the photo show a junction (can the be capped?) but maybe coming directly out with a 90degree bend straight into the soil pipe would be OK.
Is this acceptable?
