solar power/motorised valve.

I need to change a 3port valve on a central heating system but is there anything different/extra I need to do if there is solar panels attached to the system. Had planned to drain down the system but would it be better to use a pipe freezing kit instead. Please advise.

Would I be right i thinking its just a standard electric 3 port mid-position control valve on the boiler side of things?
just change as a normal three port don't worry or touch the solar side of things.
