Hi, I need to replace the section of c/h piping from the floor void into the radiator valves.
It is currently 15mm copper tube and I would like to convert this to the chromed variety so that it matches the decor of the room and the TRVs. (13 year old son into shiny stuff and I hate it when the paint gets chipped by the hoover)
I have removed the chrome plate from the end 20mm of the new pipe down to bare copper but want to know if it is safe to solder this joint onto the existing plain copper.
Yes - the new pipe is still a snug fit into the pre-soldered straight through connector. I would like to avoid using compression fittings if possible.
