Hi,
I have a concrete floor covered with bitumin (24m2). I want to lay a solid oak wood floor (150mm wide planks) using floating method. I like the idea of the self adhesive underlay but has this got a DPM? If this is not suitable, which type of combi-underlay would you suggest? Does the bitumin need priming first and what with?

Many thanks in advance,

Gary.

The self adhesive underlay does not usually have a dpm but this can be purchased and installed separately underneath the underlay.

If you use this method the bitumen will not need priming.

What ever method you use the most important thing is to follow the instructions that come with the flooring. That way if there are any problems you have redress with your supplier.
