Solved - No Central Heating But Hot Water

Hi, looking for some help/advice regarding my mums boiler. She has a Baxi Platinum 28 HE Boiler which is approx 5 years old with a hand held receiver(?) Salus RT305TX and a Salus RXRT505 which is wired up to the boiler and mounted on the wall to the side.

Central heating hasn't been on the past few months but when we have went to put the heating on today, nothing happens. The hot water works fine although theres quite a loud whistling noise not sure if radiators need bled.

The receiver on the wall is flashing red, we have reset the other receiver, changed the batteries, slide the slider to off on the wall receiver, placed both next to each other but it will not pair.

Anyone know if this is the reason the central heating wont turn on? If so, how do we fix it?

Turn the power off completely to the boiler and controls, leave for a couple of minutes and power up and see if that solves your problem.

with the receiver turned on, try turning the thermostat to minimum, leave for 10 seconds then turn it to max and see if it now pairs with the receiver
