Probably ok - but are you willing to risk destroying expensive wallpaper for the price of a packet of adhesive?
I've done work with Solvite wallpaper paste that was probably from the 80's, for an 'Old Dear' who said she had the paste. I wanted to use new but said I'd mix what she had first, just to see how it looked - exactly the same as if it was mixed in 1985!!
As long as it hasn't been opened, mix it up - if it looks and smells like it should, it's fine.
