I have a Honeywell T6360 thermostat and ST6450 digital programmer.

Sometimes I notice that the radiators and house are cold. I go and check the HEATING red LED on the ST6450 programmer and it is lit, indicating that the radiators and house should be warm.

I then check the thermostat and if I turn it up (from, say, 21 to 28 degrees) I don't hear anything and nothing happens.

If I turn it down to say 15 degrees I hear a click and then when I turn it back to 21 the heating starts warming the radiators.

Is there something wrong with my thermostat?

Sounds like the thermostat is failing , they are very cheap and easily replaced

What's a good one? The photo above shows my wiring.
Any mechanical one ,or if you want a digital one go for battery ones the Neutral in your stat is for what is called a heat anticipator modern ones dont need that wire it can just be isolated if battery powered

Thanks.
Are you referring to the blue Neutral wire on pin 2?
I might splash out for a Tado V3+ which looks quite good.

you need to look more into it if you want to use that, is easily done but not just a like for like swap, not a big deal to do though
