Hi

I'm looking at getting a Sony LCD TV and I need to know what the different model numbers mean, ie 40 S 2500, 40 V 2500, 40 W 2500.
What is the difference between the S, the V, and the W ?

Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave

The S stands for silly priced, the V for vastly overpriced and the W is for Way over the top pricing. ;)
Anyway an LD should know, shouldn't he?

If you google, you can find differences in the specs between the models

This site seems quite helpful in explaining the various technology so you can cross reference with the list of features :-

But I would have to agree with you, Sony have a bewilderingly large list of models and they change them frequently.

FWIW I ended up with a Panasonic Viera which I've been very happy with.
