I have just bought soudal PU foam remover for cured foam to remove green foam from my painted timer window. I’m pretty sure when I googled it it said it was safe to use on painted wood windows without removing the paint however now that I have the item I’m not so sure that this is the case. Could somebody please tell me if you have any experience with using this to remove cured foam if it will also take off the paint from the timber window? Is there a better solution if so? Thanks.

Read the data sheet on product website.

Do not use PU
Remover on untreated copper, brass, zinc, acrylic
paint or PMMA (Plexiglass). Risk of staining on
porous surfaces, plastics and lacquer or paint layers.

Thank you for confirming. Any idea one how it could be removed without damaging the paint? … it very much welded to it!

You can't as the solvent eats into surfaces.
I always go overboard with masking tape before using foam but thats hindsight.
Just have to remove and sand then paint wood again
