About to insulate (between) the rafters of loft and originally intended to just use kingspan but I'd really like some kind of soundproofing as we live in a very noisy area.
Would prefer total depth to be no more than around 80mm and as lightweight as possible.
So now thinking about 50mm Kingspan plus 25mm of acoustic earthwool. Has anyone used this acoustic wool stuff or the Superglass batt 32?? Does it keep (any/some) noise out? There's supposed to be some thermal properties to it too.
Just wondered what others have done to achieve warmth and some noise proofing. Any suggestions? Thanks
