Hopefully this is the right section!

I am just finishing sound proofing my bedroom wall from the noisy neighbours however I will need to do my rasied floor as well.

I will pack it full of soundproof insulation, and ideally put down a soundproof matting, hardboard, soundproof underlay and then a carpet.

I was wondering though which I order I should lay the matting and hardboard? Which one should I lay first, or would it not matter?

I'm thinking maybe the matting then the hardboard as it may be easier to attach carpet tacks to the hardboard?

Thanks,

Russ
