Soundproofing

We've moved into a Victorian property and have neighbours downstairs. We'd like to have wooden flooring in our living room but are thinking of getting soundproofing underneath the wood to avoid any conflict.

What options are there and, roughly, how much would it cost per square meter for the material and fitting?
