guess i could/should have said, its a little gizmoid that allows mains borne signalling systems to send signal from a transmitter on one phase to receivers on the other phases.

I assume you're talking about ethernet over mains, or similar.
Would a transceiver plugged into a socket on each phase, linked with an RJ45 patch lead do the job?
