I have a timber door with a multipoint locking mechanism. The door handles are on a rose and separate from the (Scandinavian Oval) lock. Everything is in a very tarnished brass and I am wanting to replace it all with a satin finish. I have been told that I need to get handles with a cir-clip to enable the multipoint lock but all I can find are handles suitable for uPVC doors and these aren't on a rose.
It took me long enough to find the term escutcheon - which I will have to find for the lock when I replace it - so I am wondering if I am just missing some terminology for the door handle that I need to search for.
Any help on terminology and/or sources for suitable handles would be much appreciated. Thanks

Photo of the old one might help.

Ironmongerydirect have any number of handles and doorknobs.

Have attached images to show the setup along with the multipoint system and the instructions on the side of the door. I had a look at that site earlier but when I go to Multipoint Handles none of the options on the left match what I have. Ignore the state of the door! That's all going to be spruced up along with the new door furniture - hopefully.

it looks like the position of the screws may be critical. Undo them and see if the screws go into, or through, the lock case. If so, measure them precisely. The outside rose may mate with the inside screws. If the screws just go into the wood, it will be much easier.

Also measure the exact distance between the centre of the spindle for the handle and the thumbturn spindle. You might find a Handle On Plate that fits. The thumbturn spindle may be a small size.

It looks like yours is made by Assa Abloy, a large company which IIRC now also owns the Yale and Union brands. They probably still sell handles to fit. Yours has the keyhole above the handle, which is less common in UK, but a UK one might fit, upside down, if the measurements match.

Meanwhile consider polishing up your old handle with Brasso wadding or a toothbrush and metal polish.
