Looking under the kitchen units in a 1900 house I've just bought I can see where a DPC has been injected and plastered over - looks pretty good and dry , so seems to be working, but because the kitchen has a concrete floor there's a layer of old brick between the top of the concrete, and the start of the DPC and that's looking pretty crumbly and smelling musty. Any suggestions where to start ?
This must always be a problem when a chemical DPC goes in above concrete .. don't the bricks below the DPC just go on being damp ?? You'd think it's something that people have to deal with all the time ...
