Its a crying shame you didn't choose a artesian to blend in the bays via reclamed bricks.

When you mention values, in my area a rendered or painted (orginally nice stocks, or reds property) sells for 5% less.

I'd find agood one man brickie, get the bays back, sort the side wall and render, or clad the back.

Not sure how contemporary inside is, if its all granite, glass and feature wall paper then a sheet cladding on the back might be the way forward.
