Spray on grease

Pardon me Gents, is this the type of grease the main dealers spray on door hinges when the car's in for service ?

Yes, that's the stuff.....make sure you treat the door check straps at the same time!
Its also good for the bonnet catches.

I use a spray 3 in 1 oil sparingly as I hate seeing grease all over those areas.

rather than spray around, you can also apply it with a small paintbrush.

The same paintbrush is useful for cleaning those areas, and around the hinges. I just use car shampoo on the rare occasions I clean it thoroughly.

If you are applying something like WD40 with a brush, you squirt it into the bottom of a jamjar or similar, then roll the brush around in it.

At the end of the day, its debatable if any lube actually gets where its needed.....however, a spray of the white grease indicates to the punter that maximum care has been taken when the car is in for service

Love the stuff. I use it on the handbrake adjusters on my sprinters as they are crap and seize up without it.
